WHEELING, West Virginia – The historic Capitol Theatre brings hip hop to the Ohio Valley on Friday, January 15^th with platinum selling recording artist Mike Jones and Ohio Valley Native Slick Watts. This show features one of the most popular Southern artists and an up-n-coming Midwest artist both on the same bill. Tickets for this show are a perfect gift for the holidays and are on-sale now! A native of Houston , Texas , Ice Age Recording Artist, Mike Jones released his chart-topping solo album in 2005 “Who Is Mike Jones?” which included the hits “Still Tippin”, “Back Then” and “Flossin”. Some of his other singles include: “My 64” featuring Bun B and Snoop Dog, “Drop & Gimme 50” featuring Hurricane Chris and “Cuddy Buddy” featuring Trey Songz, Lil’ Wayne and Twista. In 2009, his hit single “Next To You” reached #8 on the US Rap Charts. His next project, “Expect the Unexpected” is scheduled to release in 2010.

Slick Watts grew up in Martins Ferry, Ohio and was named the Ohio Division III High School Player of the Year in Basketball. He then attended Wheeling Jesuit University to finish out his basketball career by winning the WVIAC Championship with the Cardinals. Afterwards Slick pursued a musical career and in a short two years has been name “Best Midwest Artist” at the 7^th Annual Underground Music Awards in Time Square in New York City . He has also worked with another Ohio native from Cleveland, world-famous DJ, Mick Boogie.
