Young Buck's Home -- Raided by Shotgun-Toting Feds

Nashville, TN- After years of back and forth with the IRS, agents showed up at the Nashville home of former G-Unit artist, Young Buck, seizing assets like recording equipment, jewelry, furniture, and his platinum wall plaques. The action was taken due to a $300,000 past tax bill. Although Buck's lawyers filed in court last month to protect the rapper's assets, the situation was apparently too far gone to save everything. Armed Federal Agents showed up to the house this morning and rang the doorbell, using a shotgun to warn the rapper against any interference with the seizure proceedings. Buck was able to keep his vehicles and his home.

After what was obviously a tense situation, Young Buck remains saddened but relatively unscathed and reflective. "The worst part of this isn't the material stuff--that will all be replaced. It's what it does to the people around me. They took my kids' Playstation, my assistants' computers, and baby's mothers' jewelry. They took my home studio so I can't even record..."

Looking back, Buck realizes that he should have taken a more hands-on approach to the severance of his financial matters from his former management team, accountant and label but is confident that it is a mistake he will not make twice. "I have a new team in place, but I am also paying full attention now. Nothing like this will ever happen again. This is a huge wake up call for all entertainers to stay on top of your own trusted employees and team members, and replace anyone that was put in place by your record label if the situation you have goes sour. This IRS situation came about because I trusted accountants, lawyers, and managers to handle my business for me while I focused on making music. From now on, I am going to stay on top of my own business."

Buck offered up the following statement to concerned fans. "Things you go through in life make you who you are and I'm alright!”

Centralia, IL - Nope, I'd never heard of it either but it happens to be the hometown of the latest addition to my client roster, Skiddalz, and I am very excited about working with her. I try not to editorialize too much in these updates but prefer instead to let the music and bio speak for themselves; this one will be the exception.

A few weeks ago I was in a new artist showcase at Tony Neal's Core DJ Retreat in Orlando, attending because one of my clients had a showcase. I was sharing the table with good friend, Wendy Day, and had my back to the stage, engrossed in conversation. I heard another artist being announced behind me and I kept right on talking, except the beat that was playing kept interrupting my train of thought and it quickly began to be apparent that I was not alone. The whole room in fact was on their feet cheering the performer on. I rarely see that at these events so I felt compelled to stand up, turn around and see what all the fuss was about. This is when I first saw Skiddalz.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't confused by what I saw. Skiddalz is not only female and white but rather a large girl but she was killin' it. She kept my attention for the entire duration of her performance and it was during those few minutes that I knew I wanted to work with her. The many hours I spent with both and her family after a brief introduction solidified my decision. You see, Skiddalz's whole immediate family had driven to Orlando with her to support her at the retreat.

What also impressed me was the knowledge that her entire project is currently being financed by her big sister, who does this from her paycheck from the local prison where she works as a CO; yep, I said CO. This is not likely to be the case for long however as Skiddalz recently licensed several songs to MTV, one of them for the show, Jersey Shore. She also has music going up on iTunes very shortly and things are moving along nicely.

Wendy Day, who was equally impressed with Skiddalz, is going to be assisting her navigate through the murky waters of being an unsigned artist looking for a deal. Upon reading the self-written bio Skiddalz provided us with, she had this to say, "Skiddalz's bio might be the best bio I've ever read about an artist and she wrote it herself......it's really great." Simply put, the girl can write and writes her own lyrics; and she's RAW.

THE NEW YORK TIMES LOVES DUDE N NEM AND SO WILL YOU - IN MANDARIN?

Hilarity is arguably what Chicago duo, Dude N Nem, are best known for; from their zany presentation to the irreverence of their lyrical content (watch this video for McDonalds if you don't believe me) and this current offering is no exception. Sounds Sexy, the hit follow-up to their international smash debut, Watch My Feet, is now available in no less than ten languages, including Hindi, Arabic and Mandarin, proving indeed that no woman anywhere is off limits. If this all seems a little outrageous, well, that's okay because The New York Times (11/20) labelled Dude N Nem's recent album release, Tinted Incubators, as "outrageously good......." Here is Jon Caramanica's full review.

Two years after its release Dude ’N Nem’s “Watch My Feet” sounds no less bizarre: mystic lyrics by rappers Trygic and Upmost over a beat that starts out lumbering, then switches to a quickstepping burner drawn from Chicago’s spastic juke-house scene. Notably, it’s not even in the Top 5 oddball songs on “Tinted Incubators” (Beat Bangers/The Orchard), this group’s outrageously good debut album: “Stay With Me” sounds like a Biz Markie outtake, and “McDonalds” is among the great comic rap love songs in recent memory. It’s all so colossally and fabulously weird that it practically sounds foreign. And maybe somewhere that’s not here is where Dude ‘N Nem, barely known outside of Chicago, will play best. The group at least seems willing to try: on iTunes, the maxisingle of “Sounds Sexy” has versions in 10 languages, including Italian, Hindi and Arabic.

CHAMILLIONAIRE ADDRESSES THE "RETIREMENT" RUMORS WITH THIS STATEMENT

Several days ago, I did a live broadcast from my site, Chamillionaire.com, to let fans know where I am right now and what my intentions are musically for the future. Instead of clearing things up, the broadcast unintentionally spawned rumors of my retirement from music. Since then, I have been bombarded with emails and phone calls regarding my so-called retirement and the reasons behind me not dropping the promised "Venom" album.

It was definitely not my intention to mislead anyone into thinking that I plan to completely retire from music. I love making music and will continue to do so. What I am retiring is the "Mixtape Messiah" part of my career. This means no more jacking beats and no more underground mixtapes. I have been making and putting them out for over a decade and I feel like it is time to step to another level. The upcoming installment of the "Mixtape Messiah" series, "Mixtape Messiah 7", will be the final one. Moving forward, a large majority of the music I release will be on original beats.

Additionally, even though I don't plan on releasing any of the original material that I had wanted to call "Venom", I will definitely be releasing a third Chamillionaire album with Universal. I am confident that my true fans will have plenty of fresh, new music to be as excited about as I am and I look forward to supplying their demand for new music.

I hope that my fans will understand that over time, you grow as a person and this means you will evolve as an artist. The experiences that you encounter throughout your life all contribute to those changes and that is bound to affect the music an artist feels like making at any given time. I love that my fans feel so deeply about the work I have done in the mixtape scene or the "Get Ya Mind Correct" era of my career, but at this time I want to focus 100% of my studio time on perfecting the commercial music I will release in the future.
