Atlanta's Love and Hip Hops Momma Dee talks to INTRO Magazine
INTRO Magazine received that chance to talk to the one the only and in that order Momma Dee from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta. As you know we talked about the show and what she thought of Love and Hip Hop franchise since she has become part of it.
INTRO Magazine: What do you think of the Love and Hip Franchise?
INTRO Magazine: What do you think of the Love and Hip Franchise?
Momma Dee: Love and Hip Hop Atlanta is the most popular reality show on television right now. Its something about that Georgia red clay. Love and Hip Hop is a true
reality show. We are not scripted. When it comes time to do the green screen
comments I tell them just cut the camera on. I don't hold anything back. I am
not going to be someone else just because the cameras are rolling. That is all
me that you see on television. When I give my son advice you see me telling him
what I would tell him off camera. My feelings about cast members are my true
feelings. Like I said nothing is scripted.
INTRO Magazine: What
new projects are you working on currently:
Momma Dee: Currently I am working on a
book that is set to be released in 60 days called "My Life And In That
Order". The book is based on my life. I talk about the things that I went
through as a child to an adult. I talk about how my mother put me out because
her new husband said he did not want me in the house. I was a child. Not many
people know or understand how you feel when your mother comes to you and says
"My husband doesn't want you in the house so you need to leave". I
talk about my life as a pimp. I talk about the high level officials that would
call me up to meet with one of my girls. I call one official out specifically.
I am also reviewing some movie scripts to see if that is something else that I
would like to do.
INTRO Magazine: There are many people that question what you do as a mother based on what they see on the show. How do you feel about that?
Momma Dee: I try and be the best mother that I can be to my children. I have other children besides Lil Scrappy and I talk to them the same way that I talk to him. I come from an era where you never held anything back. Everyone talks to there children differently but that is how I talk to mine. I just try to be the best mother that I can.
INTRO Magazine: What advice can you give to other mothers that are like you trying to do the best that they can?
Momma Dee: As
a mother I believe that other mothers should be the best mothers that they can
be for their children. There are times when things just don't go the way we
plan. In those times just focus on being the best mother that you can be. I try everyday to be the best mother that I can be for my children. I try and
give the best advice that I can. As a mother you should do the same.
INTRO Magazine: I would like to thank you for taking the time to speak to us.
Momma Dee: I want to thank you for giving me
the time to talk to you. I want the readers and fans to know that there is more
to come on Love and Hip Hop Atlanta but most importantly I want the mothers out
there to just be the best mothers that they can be.

Ice-T New movie "Something from Nothing: The Art Of Rap" hits theaters
Film Synopsis:
Ice-T takes us on
an intimate journey into the heart and soul of hip-hop with the legends
of rap music. This performance documentary goes beyond the stardom and
the bling to explore what goes on inside the minds, and erupts from the
lips, of the grandmasters of rap. Recognized as the godfather of
Gangsta rap, Ice-T is granted unparalleled access to the personal lives
of the masters of this artform that he credits for saving his life.
Interspersed with the performers' insightful, touching, and often funny
revelations are classic raps, freestyle rhymes, and never before heard
a cappellas straight from the mouths of the creators. What emerges is a
better understanding of, and a tribute to, an original American art
form that brought poetry to a new generation.
