PRODUCER ON THE RISE "TS" -TS: THE BEST OF THE WEST
TS: THE BEST OF THE WEST
If a person were asked to summarize *TS* in two words, they would instantaneously pick ‘determined and passionate.’ With a plethora of adjectives available to describe this 26-year-old musical mastermind it is easy to understand just how and why he has captured the attention of some of the industries most recognized.
Accused of ‘making grown man music’ by 9th Wonder, TS* has been submerged in music for half his life. Born *Taurus Scott, *TS* became proficient in both the drums and the piano through his own teaching. Through his dedication of making music it was only a matter of time before the Arizona native made himself familiar with a beat machine and as clichéd as it might sound, the rest is history. “I learned to play the drums and from there I got into DJing and not long after that I started producing and found out that that was the part of Hip-Hop I wanted to be involved in.”
Inspired by the heavyweights of the production world, Dr. Dre, Hi-Tek, DJ Premier, Timbaland, J Dilla, Illmind, TS* doesn’t attempt to emulate what these names have done; he chooses to learn from them. His ingenuity and ability to use both sounds and instruments, molding them together to create a prolific musical backdrop, was what caught the attention of *Sha Money XL. Hailed as a ‘problem with the beats’ by the Money Management Head honcho, it was during Sha’s tenure as G Unit President that an invitation was extended to *TS*, one that would be a defining moment in his career.
“Sha gave me the opportunity to move out to New York and work with G Unit,” he explains. “Making that move has definitely encouraged my career, how could it not?” While placements on 50 Cents Bullet Proof video game, and G-Unit Mixtapes by 50 Cent "Last Chance on Hate it or Love it", "On the Arm; The Reason on Lloyd Banks Cold Corner", "Me and My Strap; Have It All on Banks' 4-30-09" and "Let's Ride; Lifestyles of the Rich on Tony Yayo's Finally off Papers” prove the move cross country was more than justified, TS* continues to flood the market with his workmanship, currently working with *Cory Gunz and Nipsey Hussle.
This chapter in his life allowed him to develop not only his production skills but to also work on his engineering and mixing abilities. Establishing himself as a triple threat puts TS* in a league that only a select few are a part of._“Being able to mix, master and engineer allows me to definitely get the sound I am looking for,”_ he shares. And with *Mike Jones, Mobb Deep and Mase all privy to his engineering skills, *TS* is just as affluent in that department as he is in the production field.
Like all aspects of the music industry today diversity is a key attribute in the hopes of securing longevity within the music world which TS acknowledges “the more versatile you can be, the more success you are going to have.” And armed with all the idiosyncrasies that his influences have displayed to get to their own personal pinnacles, it is inevitable with his burgeoning discography that TS* is like *Sha Money stated definitely ‘a problem with the beats.’

50 Cent To Drop War Angel LP This Tuesday - 9PM ET Only On Thisis50
50 Cent To Drop War Angel LP This Tuesday - 9PM ET Only On Thisis50.com
50 Cent recently spoke to MTV about his upcoming mixtape…War Angel LP:
"I'm finnin' to get on the street, you already know what time it is," he said via cell.
The tagline for the project is "Prepare for Total Destruction."
"You know what it is, it's a conflict," Fif described. "The exact opposite. I didn't want to write Angel Demon. It's not the contrast between good and bad. But ... if someone's at war, I'm sure they're saying their prayers. They believe they have angels around them. What would you call an angel around a soldier at war?"
A War Angel, of course.
"That's why I titled it that," he added. "Creatively, this is not even a mixtape. That's why I put LP next to it. ... My core audience will understand it immediately, and it's written specifically for that."
With such a potent title, some people are obviously expecting him to go at his last known enemy: Officer Ricky. Fif said that's not the case. He's done with the Miami MC.
"You're gonna see," he promised, before explaining why the beef with Ross is over. "I think if you don't identify when you've won a race, you'll continue to run victory laps until you've exhausted yourself. There's nothing else to win in the Rick Ross situation. There's nothing else to do to that guy from my perspective."
So who will 50 be firing missiles at?
'It's not a specific target, a specific person, I'm writing about,"he clarified. "When you hear it, out of all the material I put on the street, you're gonna say that's the best body of work I put out in the mixtape circuit, period. The way the mood of music is right now, when they hear what this is, they'll say, 'That's what we needed.' "
More 50 Cent underground releases will follow in just a few short weeks.
"I have two other tapes to follow it," he revealed. "Fourth of July, Sincerely Southside Part 2 coming out with mostly '90s music on it. Timeless music, classic hit records. Then, after that, there's a G-Unit mixtape. It's actually untitled. I'll be finished with it in the next day or so."
The War Angel LP track list, according to 50 Cent:
1. "I Line N---as"
2. "Talking in Codes"
3. "OK, Alright"
4. "Redrum (Murder)"
5. "Cream 2009"
6. "I'll Do Anything"
7. "London Girl"
8. "AK"
9. "Get the Message"
10. "I Gotta Win"

PORN STAR TESTS POSITIVE FOR HIV AND INFECTS 16 OTHERS!!!!
The performer first tested positive June 4, said Dr. Colin Hamblin, AIM's medical director. She worked the following day -- June 5 -- for reasons Hamblin said are still being investigated. A second positive result came back June 6. And the clinic is awaiting results of a third and final confirmatory test, he said. The actress had two recent sexual partners, according to AIM. One is a porn actor, now under work quarantine, who performed with the woman June 5. The other is her boyfriend. Those men have had sexual intercourse with an additional six people, who have all been notified and offered testing, Hamblin said. So far, no one known to have had contact with the woman or her partners has tested positive for HIV.Hamblin said the clinic is following all reporting rules, but because of patient privacy concerns cannot legally disclose the patient's name or employer to the county. "They also have to realize we have limitations too," Hamblin said. "We'd be happy to work with the county in any other capacity."Attorney Kim Martin, special counsel to the state health and worker safety agency, said that the state health department and other public health agencies are exempt from those privacy laws and that they will continue seeking cooperation from the clinic. In a statement published on AIM's website, Sharon Mitchell, the clinic's co-founder and a former porn star who appeared in more than 2,000 films, said the media was "like a moth to a flame.""Rumor is rampant when the words 'HIV' and 'porn' are in the same sentence," she said.Mitchell said AIM's clinic has been a leader in promoting prevention and testing. But, she added, "we are not the police department of the industry nor wish to be."Public statements from clinic representatives downplaying the incident -- which one clinic official called "not a major event" -- drew some criticism."This industry screams for regulation," said Michael Weinstein, president of the Los Angeles-based AIDS Healthcare Foundation. "Cal-OSHA needs to require that condoms be used in any film. Yesterday."The positive HIV test has concerned health officials and AIDS activists because the Valley is one of the leading producers of pornography in the world, with about 200 production companies that employ about 1,200 people who work as adult performers, and about 5,000 others. With some of the nation's largest pornography producers based in the Valley, any disease has the potential to spread quickly. The 16 unpublicized HIV cases were not investigated by county public health officials, partly because privacy rules before 2006 prevented the disclosure of the names of HIV-infected individuals to government agencies. Because no government investigation of those cases took place, it is unclear whether those performers contracted HIV at work or elsewhere.County officials were able to investigate the HIV outbreak in 2004 because AIM disclosed the names of the infected performers to the public. In that outbreak, Darren James, a well-known porn star, infected three actresses he had worked with before learning that he was HIV-positive. Another unrelated performer also tested positive. The cases spurred a series of public hearings, but legislation to force safer practices quietly expired without a vote.No state laws specifically require condom use and the vast majority of heterosexual porn movies are shot "bareback," an industry term for unprotected sex.State labor codes, however, do require use of personal protective equipment and protection against blood or bodily fluids in the workplace. Since 2004, five adult entertainment companies have been cited for a variety of violations. Each case has been settled, state officials said.Since 2004, 2,378 people who identified themselves as adult film industry performers have tested positive for chlamydia in Los Angeles County. An additional 1,357 tested positive for gonorrhea and 15 for syphilis, according to data released Thursday by the county's health department.Public health experts tried again in 2007 and 2008 to require condom use in adult films, but no lawmaker agreed to sponsor legislation, said Paula Tavrow, an assistant professor at UCLA's School of Public Health. But porn industry executives and officials, including its advocacy group the Free Speech Coalition, argue that they do a good job of self-regulation and say that the rates of HIV infection remain low. If laws are passed requiring condom use, they said, porn production would be pushed underground or outside California.John Stagliano, a former porn star and president of Evil Angel productions, said: "The market determines whether or not this will be shown. A government agency the size of Los Angeles couldn't stop it. It's not going to change."

CHAMILLIONAIRE ADDRESSES THE "RETIREMENT" RUMORS WITH THIS STATEMENT
It was definitely not my intention to mislead anyone into thinking that I plan to completely retire from music. I love making music and will continue to do so. What I am retiring is the "Mixtape Messiah" part of my career. This means no more jacking beats and no more underground mixtapes. I have been making and putting them out for over a decade and I feel like it is time to step to another level. The upcoming installment of the "Mixtape Messiah" series, "Mixtape Messiah 7", will be the final one. Moving forward, a large majority of the music I release will be on original beats.
Additionally, even though I don't plan on releasing any of the original material that I had wanted to call "Venom", I will definitely be releasing a third Chamillionaire album with Universal. I am confident that my true fans will have plenty of fresh, new music to be as excited about as I am and I look forward to supplying their demand for new music.
I hope that my fans will understand that over time, you grow as a person and this means you will evolve as an artist. The experiences that you encounter throughout your life all contribute to those changes and that is bound to affect the music an artist feels like making at any given time. I love that my fans feel so deeply about the work I have done in the mixtape scene or the "Get Ya Mind Correct" era of my career, but at this time I want to focus 100% of my studio time on perfecting the commercial music I will release in the future.
Thanks for understanding.
Chamillionaire
