TOWN HALL MEETING

Houston, TX - Last Thursday's Town Hall Meeting on behalf of Trae Tha Truth resulted in a community call-to-action by local activist, Deric Muhammad and others in protest of 97.9 The Box and parent company, Radio One's alleged tortious interference in the business life of the rapper. A packed room called for a week-long boycott of the station by Houston's Hip Hop fans to begin at midnight on June 6th.

Trae addressed the room, explaining his reasons for taking the ongoing situation as far as he has, saying that he feels it is time that someone stood up against what's wrong, urging the community for whom he has done so much, to do the same.

The artist, who in 2008 was honored with his own day by the city of Houston (July 22nd) for his many contributions to the community is this time asking his community to stand by him. By way of thanks, he is leaking the below song for fans.
