Records announces that Death From Above 1979's sophomore album, The Physical World, will be released on September 9, 2014. Ten years after the band's highly successful debut album, You're A Woman, I'm A Machine, the band will drop the not so patiently awaited follow up album, produced by D. Sardy (Red Hot Chili Peppers, LCD Soundsystem, Wolfmother, Oasis) on the heels of their first Toronto festival play in years, when they play Riot Fest on September 6 / 7th. Tampa, FL Progressive Metal Band AKELDAMA Signs with Rogue Records America

The Rogue Records America roster just keeps growing with amazing talent! Tampa, FL six-piece progressive metal band AKELDAMA has signed a two-record distribution deal with Rogue Records America.

AKELDAMA announces their relationship with Rogue Records America by releasing their re-mastered and remixed three-song EP, simply titled Akeldama for free to anyone who wants it. The band has also become involved with PROJECT ROGUE-TITANS with the recent recruitment of both singers Andrew Zink and Connor Reibling.

“These guys just really shook my foundation when I heard them,” said Rogue Records America owner Dean Martinetti. “The landscapes in their music is layered thick and never at any moment loses its momentum or pacing. It’s really just well done. So, we had to ask them if they’d be a part of the family…and thankfully, they said yes.”

AKELDAMA released their first full-length record, entitled Everything Beautiful on September 6, 2013. The release was met with overwhelming support from the progressive metal community and was named a "top release of 2013" by both GotDjent.com and MindEqualsBlown.com. The release was noted for its crushing grooves, lush and ambient atmosphere as well as its elite cast of guest contributors, distinguished artists Ashe O'hara (Tesseract), Keshav Dhar (Skyharbor) and Per Nilsson (Scar Symmetry).

AKELDAMA is a progressive metal band founded by Andrew Zink of Tampa, FL.
AKELDAMA began in 2010 as a studio project between Andrew Zink and a select group of musicians in the Greater Tampa Bay area. The project began to take shape with a few steady members and songwriters. Through the final months of 2010 and into 2011, Zink and his bandmates would compose a handful of tracks ending with the release of a self-titled, three song demo released on March 28, 2011. The three tracks would soon after solidify Akeldama as a household name within the circles of progressive metal/djent fans and the internet based metal scene as a whole.

Los Angeles, CA ~ Today is a double release day for Cali native Jay Blaze as he unleashes both his brand new EP, "Haterz Stay Back" on iTunes as well as the visual to "Puff Daddy", the EP's second track. Funny thing about that "Puff Daddy" song. Being a Los Angeles resident with the priviledge of being all up in the mix has its benefits. Jay was able not only to get the song to Puff's team, but to get feedback from the man himself. Word is, he digs it and looks forward to seeing the video, which debuts on HipHopDX today. Oddly, he changed his name back to Puff Daddy shortly thereafter.............coincidence? Perhaps, but a great look for Jay Blaze regardless.
