The Movie Cocktail Celebrates 20th World Launch Anniversary with Tom Cruise look-a-likes and bottle spinning in NYC

Heywood Gould who wrote Cocktail will be honored in a 20th world launch anniversary celebration with Tom Cruise look-a-likes and bottle spinning at a T.G.I Friday's® the place where the blockbuster was filmed in Manhattan. The celebration coincides with Americas newest T.G.I Friday's® grand opening in Penn Station on Thursday October 22, 2009 at 6pm on the Amtrack level on 33rd and 7th in Manhattan.

The Tom Cruise look-a-likes and bottle spinning behind the bar will resemble the movie that was filmed over two decades ago. The movie was one of the most popular films in the bar and beverage industries. Millions wanted to become bartender's after the movie was released. Bartending Schools from across the nation still run the Tom Cruise film clips in there ads today. Heywood Gould was a former New York City reporter and bartender that wrote Fort Apache,the Bronx, Boys from Brazil and Rolling Thunder. He is a New York institution.

T.G.I Friday's® in Manhattan is owned and operated by the Riese Organization. The birthplace of the popular chain was New York City. Today there are over 1000 restaurants in over 60 countries.

As Vol. 1 sought to introduce hip-hop fans in general, and specifically, the

world of underground hip-hop, so Vol. 2 seeks to expose another untapped
resource of underground talent, skill and artistry to this very same avid and
intrepid fan-base.

The project serves a double purpose as well: many of the pioneers and
practitioners (DJ's and producers) in the Dubstep world came up in a time when
Wu-Tang ruled the international airwaves. Unlike much commercial hip-hop, the
immediacy of Wu-Tang's sound spoke to many outside of the scope of the typical
hip-hop fan, across oceans and at home. Their music and style helped to shape
an emerging artform that hadn't yet defined itself. Now, in 2009, as dubstep
continues to grow, expand and encompass more styles and subgenres, the Wu-
Tang sound is reintroduced into the mix, to spawn a new and unique musical
crossbreeding, that is greater than the sum of its constituent parts.

This groundbreaking album is trail-blazing the collaboration between Dubstep
and Hip-Hop, with stomach-pounding, bass-thumping guttural beats, and gully,
gritty and grimy lyrics that break into the next decade in the chapters of each
respective genre's history. With Scuba, Parson, Trillbass, Dakimh, DZ, Rogue
Star, Stenchman, Datsik & many more producing not remixes, but complex re-
interpollations that include a veritable goldmine of Wu-Tang verses from the

Last Meal for Gourmet Magazine, Chefs to say farewell with a Golden Fork presented to staff of legendary publication

The Fifth Annual “The Great Gathering of Chefs” will bring together almost 200 of some of the world’s most celebrated chefs. Emeril, Daniel, Eric Ripert, Michael Psilakis, John Delucie, Jean-Georges and George Mendes, just to mention a few. The chefs will be honoring the editors,writers and staff of the legendary culinary publication Gourmet Magazine in a special tribute. A golden fork will be presented. The magazine said farewell after over 50 years of being one of the bibles in the food industry.

The organizer of the event renowned photographer Battman, a.k.a. Alan Batt. wanted it to be the last meal for the magazine that touched the lives of so many chefs. He will be launching “Small Things Sweet” & “Small Things Savory”, in which each chef will be featured with there favorite dishes. They will be signing copies of the book. It is one of the largest gathering of chefs in the United States. The event is will take place on October 18th, 3pm at the Mandarin Oriental, New York and is limited to only 400 special guests.

The night will raise money for “Action Against Hunger”, an organization dedicated to helping severely malnourished children in 40 countries around the world.
