Ted Lucas and Slip-N-Slide Records To Sign Deal with Def Jam Records To Distribute Singer/Songwriter SHONIE's Debut Album "Passionate... Pieces

New York, N.Y. The CEO OF Slip-N-Slide Records Ted Lucas has entered into another deal with LA Reid and Def Jam Records to distribute newcomer singer and songwriter SHONIE's debut album "Passionate…..Pieces of Me." .

SHONIE is a 19-year old female singer and songwriter born in the Bronx, New York but raised in Miami, FL. SHONIE is reminiscent of an early Mary J. Blige and brings a refreshing youthful sound to the R&B genre. SHONIE has also signed with Justice Publishing/ EMI as a songwriter.

SHONIE to date has worked with the likes of Hip-Hop superstars Trina, Flo Rida, Trick Daddy, Cool & Dre and Jim Jonsin. She most recently wrote the hook for the current Plies hit "Want It Need It" featuring Ashanti. SHONIE'S current single titled "Can't Let Go" featuring Fabolous, is quickly being added to key taste-making Urban and Rhythmic Radio Stations. Her influences include Beyonce, Aaliyah and Betty Wright. SHONIE'S debut album "Passionate... Pieces of Me" will be released this Summer 2009 on Slip-N-Slide Records/Def Jam Records.
